There’s a Grinch on the loose in Cashion, and investigators need your help in finding him.
Cashion’s Fire Department was the target Monday night. Surveillance video shows that a man in a hooded sweatshirt broke into two different ambulances that were parked outside the fire department.
It happened between 8:40 and 9:10 p.m., just as several firefighters were returning from an outing with kids and Santa and Mrs. Claus. At one point, the alleged thief jumped out of the back of one of the ambulances, as Cashion’s EMT Supervisor Gunnar Pierce moved the ambulance from one parking space to another in the station parking lot.
The suspect made off with a bag of supplies, but Pierce says nothing in the bag contained hard drugs. “No, none of this is gonna get you high,” he said. “It’s gonna make your heart go really fast or really slow. Or make you go to sleep.”
Cashion Police hope someone recognizes the suspect seen in the surveillance video, and calls police.
