OKLAHOMA CITY -

Three people escaped their home as it was engulfed with flames early Wednesday morning. This happened near S.E. 84th and Sooner Road in Oklahoma City, not too far from Tinker Air Force Base.

According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. Three adults and their dogs were inside the home when it caught fire. The fire alarm woke them up and they were able to escape.

Firefighters had difficulty putting out the fire due to the design of the home. They were able to extinguish the fire. The house sustained damage to its roof and garage.

Officials believe the fire started in the garage.

Two vehicles inside the garage were destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
