LOGAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Firefighters battled a house fire in Logan County that left one person dead, officials said.

The fire happened at a home near Simpson Road and Bryant Road and fully engulfed the home.

Neighbors said one person was inside the home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters were able to pull one person out of the fire but the person died at the scene, Oak Cliff Fire Department Lt. Darrin Martin said.

Edmond, Deer Creek and Wood Crest firefighters assisted in putting out the fire.
