My Buttercream Frosting

My Buttercream Frosting

1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla 
2 tablespoon milk
Gel food coloring

Beat together the shortening and butter till smooth. Add vanilla and then spoonfuls of powdered sugar and milk. Beat till the powdered sugar is incorporated. Add more milk as needed. Separate the frosting into bowls as needed for individual colors for decorating. Then add food coloring and decorate!
