The final day of fall 2015 is here! The winter solstice is at 10:28 PM tonight, but it sure won't feel like winter.
Today, look for highs in the lower and mid-50s with northwest winds relaxing this afternoon. Tonight will be a much colder night for most with lows in the lower and mid 30s with a light south breeze.
Tuesday, a strong south wind returns elevating the wildfire risk, especially in western OK where gusts could reach 30 mph. Even though it will be the first full day of winter, tomorrow, highs will soar into the lower and mid-60s.
As we approach Christmas a large ridge of high pressure will build over the eastern half of the United States, bringing near record heat to the east coast and keeping our highs in the 50s/60s. This means no white Christmas for us, but if you want to find the snow, just head to the northwest a few hundred miles.
