A Guthrie woman is dead after she rolled her SUV in Dewey County on Saturday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

Stephanie Smith, 33, was traveling southeast on U.S. Highway 270 about 6 miles east of Seiling when the crash happened at 7:50 a.m., according to a trooper’s report.

OHP says Smith entered a curve, overcorrected to the right, and the vehicle rotated 180 degrees, rolled twice and came to rest on its wheels. She was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

The investigating trooper said Smith’s condition at the time of the crash was apparently normal and the cause of the collision was inattention.

Smith was not wearing a seat belt, the report says.
