With the state more than $900-million in the red, officials are figuring out who is to blame and what can be done about it.
State officials have one opinion while others see it differently. A press conference was held Thursday afternoon to address the problems.
The press conference was with the state's finance secretary and the budget leaders of both state houses, who say the outlook isn't good.
Earlier this week the state’s revenue collection was called a failure, leaving the state hundreds of millions in debt and forcing the state to make mandatory budget cuts. All this as a new income tax is set to start January first which is expected to take $147-million from state funds.
