A former Church’s Chicken Franchise owner, once thought missing and endangered, has passed away.

In a statement released by the company, Church’s Chicken said “We are saddened to learn of the death of a former franchisee in the Church’s system, Lyndon Johnson.”

Details surrounding his death have not been released per the family’s request.

The company said Johnson was a respected leader in the franchisee community and mentor to others.

“As a system, we grieve the loss of a former colleague, a father and a husband. We will remember the contributions he made to his community during the growth of his business and family,” the company said in a statement.

Police were looking for Johnson, who was thought to be missing and endangered at one point. Johnson was found by authorities on November 21 in Farmers Branch, Texas, TPD said.

Johnson, 55, had been missing since 15 of his restaurants were closed on Tuesday by the Oklahoma Tax Commission. OTC says Johnson’s franchises owe $434,000.
