Vehicle Erupts Into Flames On News 9 Lawn

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Crews were called to extinguish a vehicle fire that erupted in the front lawn of the News 9 building near Kelley Ave. and NE 73rd St.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. The vehicle was completely engulfed in flame when firefighters arrived and had spread to the grass.

It is unclear if anyone was injured. A few small explosions occurred in the vehicle as it burned. 

The driver told News 9 he saw driving southbound on Kelley and noticed flames inside the car. He said he pulled over and got out before the flames engulfed the vehicle.

    Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said Tuesday afternoon that a 15-year-old boy shot 14 people Tuesday morning at a southwestern Kentucky high school. Two of the victims, a 15-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl, died. Five others suffered non-gunshot injuries, the governor said. The suspect in the incident at Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky, has been apprehended, according to officials with Marshall County Emergency Management.
