Dean Blevins has confirmed that OU starting quarterback and current backup quarter back Trevor Knight has been granted a full release from Oklahoma.

Knight was given the release by OU head coach Bob Stoops, and Stoops will not block Knight from transferring within the Big 12 conference.

Despite losing the starting job in camp, Knight was still voted a captain by his teammates and has a solid enough resume to attract the attention of plenty division one programs. Knight has completed 22-of-40 passes this season for 305 yards and two touchdowns.
