An Oklahoma City man was running errands when another customer punched him in the face over the weekend.

Lyndon Wilson was inside the Family Dollar store in the 3800 block of N. Portland when it happened. Security camera captured the assault.

“I was really mad at the moment. It surprised me,” Wilson said.

Wilson said the suspect bumped into him and when Wilson asked the man if he was going to apologize, the answer was a punch to the face. The 19-year-old victim almost retaliated, but did not.

“I wanted to hit the guy, but one of my friends stopped me so, I'm kind of glad for that one,” Wilson told News 9.

News 9 showed Wilson the video of the assault for the first time. He said he has never seen the suspect before, but thought it was funny the guy ran out of the store and hopped into an SUV where a woman was waiting for him.

“He took off running and started saying stuff out the car while he was driving off with his mom,” Wilson explained.

Luckily, Wilson said he was not hurt.

“I just hope they find him,” Wilson said. “He had no right to punch me, so, no reason to.”

If you recognize the suspect in the surveillance video, call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
