OKLAHOMA CITY -

A bizarre string of events put a neighborhood on alert and landed a man in the Oklahoma County jail.

This is a strange one near Northwest Classen High School. Police arrested 32-year-old Felipe Martinez, completely naked in a woman's guesthouse, but that wasn't his first stop.

“We had just gotten home, and we pulled in and saw a cop car driving by and then we saw a couple more down the street,” a neighbor said.

That's because right behind this neighbor, who wasn't comfortable showing his face, police said a man was hiding inside a guesthouse, naked, on top of a water heater.

“It was all just going down when we got home and we walked through the back yard with our kids,” he said. “It was kind of, it was kind of scary.”

Not too long before destroying that guesthouse, breaking the sink, toilet and even the water heater he was hiding on top of, police said Martinez was inside another home down the street.

“It made me think, what would I do in that situation, and I don’t know what I would have done,” the neighbor said.

Investigators said Martinez was seen walking around a back room by the homeowners themselves. He apparently tried walking in through the front door first before going around back. He was confronted by the homeowner, and left.

Once outside, police said Martinez tried to steal a FedEx truck. When that didn't work, he jumped in another car and hit the truck before heading to that guesthouse.

“You get some people walking through the neighborhood. You just be vigilant, do what you can, look out for each other,” he said.

Police said Martinez appeared to be under the influence of meth. He's facing complaints of burglary and destruction of property.
