Monday, December 7, 2015, marks the 74th anniversary of the Japanese attack on the U.S. naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, that killed thousands of people and launched the United States into World War II.

Here in Oklahoma, local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW,) joined by Dolese Bros. Co., will hold a Pearl Harbor Day Remembrance Ceremony Monday morning at the USS Oklahoma Anchor in Oklahoma City.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the USS Oklahoma Anchor, located in front of the Dolese offices at 13th and Broadway (Campbell Park.)

The remembrance ceremony is a special community event that will honor our veterans while paying tribute to Pearl Harbor remembrance, according to organizers.  It will be outdoors featuring a short program and hot chocolate.
