The 2015 Official Oklahoma City Christmas Ornament, created by Oklahoma artist Greg Burns, celebrates the OKC Museum of Art.

The third in a collector’s series, the ornament features the OKC Museum of Art’s grand atrium entrance showcasing the 55-foot tall Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick Memorial Tower by Dale Chihuly.

The original artwork for the ornament was created by renowned Oklahoma Artist Greg Burns. His work ranges from historical buildings and homes to Victorian interiors and landscapes. Oklahoma landmarks are one of his favorite subject matters.

The ornaments are available inside Penn Square Mall at a kiosk just above Santa Clause on the second floor of center court.  The ornaments are also available at the OKC Museum of Art Gift Store and at North Pole City located at 4201 S. Interstate 44 Service Road.

According to officials, the Women’s Firstep Program is providing the staffing for the kiosk during the Holiday Season.  The wages earned from the kiosk will go back to support the mission of Women’s Firstep. The kiosk is being provided by the Simon Group, operators of Penn Square Mall. In addition, North Pole City is contributing all sales back to the ornament program.

“We are excited about the partnerships we have formed this year to support the ornament program including the participation of artist Greg Burns, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Women’s Firstep and North Pole City,” stated Mike McAuliffe, Chairman of the OKC Holiday River Parade. “This is a win-win for everyone involved in the project.”

All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments benefit the annual OKC Holiday River Parade, officials said. Started in 2004 to officially open the Oklahoma River, the parade has become one of the largest free family holiday events in Central Oklahoma.

The parade takes place at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 20 on the Oklahoma River.

The ornaments can also be purchased online.  For large orders or additional information, contact Mike McAuliffe at (405)-630-7668 or mike@doctoroncall.com.

The Official OKC Christmas Ornament is made in the USA.
