A 2-year-old child is in critical condition following a crash in Wagoner County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a 15-year-old girl was driving with two younger children in an SUV.

The driver was eastbound on 700 Road near White Horn Cove Road around 6 p.m. when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway.

The Chevy SUV hit a tree, according to a collision report.

A 4-year-old girl riding in the SUV was treated and released for head injuries. The 2 year old was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with head and other injuries. The driver was admitted to the Wagoner hospital where she is said to be stable with internal injuries, the report states.

Troopers say all three were wearing safety restraints, but the 2-year-old's wasn't "properly in use."

No names were released in the crash since they are all underage.
