Crews Battle Overnight Fires In NW OKC

Oklahoma City fire crews worked through cold rain and ice to extinguish fires on the northwest side overnight.

Around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, a home caught fire near NW 2^nd and Douglas, forcing crews to work fast to save nearby buildings. Crews arrived on the scene and found the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Also, Saturday night, a generator caused a home near NW 28^th and Macarthur firefighters told News 9 the fire started in the garage then spread. The fire caused an estimated $20,000 worth of damage. No one was hurt.

Authorities at the OKCFD say since Saturday they responded to at 112 calls related to power lines and 14 house fires.
