YUKON, Oklahoma -

A Yukon man was arrested after investigators discovered a package, containing about $100K of Marijuana, was being shipped to the man’s residence through the mail.

Canadian County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested William Garbe, 30, on Friday, after a drug dog made a positive hit on the nearly eight pound package. Though it would seem a drug dog was not necessary, after postal workers first became suspicious of the parcel based on the pungent aroma.

Postal workers alerted police on Thursday. After the K9 made the positive hit, investigators obtained an anticipatory search warrant at the address listed on the package.

Working with the postal service, sheriff’s investigators watched and waited as the package was delivered. A woman answered the door holding an infant child and identified herself as the person with whom the package was addressed; what police learned to be the fake name “Maggie Thompson”.

After a while, officers moved in and arrested Garbe. The woman was not arrested during the search, however, DHS was called to the home to take custody of the child.

Investigators say the package contained eight pounds of “high-grade California grown marijuana” with an estimated street value of $100,000.

Garbe was booked into the Canadian County Jail on one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute. His bail was set at $10,000 and he bonded out Friday evening.

On Monday, investigators filed for an out of custody warrant to arrest the woman, who has still not yet been identified, after learning more about this case. Other arrests related to this crime are also expected in California.
