Judge Sharon Holmes is sending convicted child abuser Meredith Howard to prison for six years and three months.

Howard was found guilty last year of hurting children at two separate Tulsa daycare facilities. She served several months of a child abuse sentence then was sent to a ranch-like facility in Arizona after her sentence was modified.

Howard was then was kicked out of that facility for repeated issues with anger and behavioral problems.

Howard claimed she had the mental capacity of a child. She broke the leg of a 2-year-old child and damaged the vagina of another.  That child was so badly hurt she needed three surgeries.

A different judge initially sentenced Howard to 12 years in prison for the two child abuse cases, but she had only served 10 months when the judge ordered her to go a residential treatment facility.

Judge William Kellough told her she could do the rest of her time on probation as long as she spent the next two years at the Arizona facility for non-violent offenders.

She was thrown out of that facility for going into the rooms of other residents and staff, taking things and refusing to take her medication. Prosecutors wanted her sent back to prison.

She has most recently been held in a segregated medical unit.
