A major change could affect drive times during the evening rush hour.

On Monday, construction crews will shift lanes near Portland and Memorial in Oklahoma City. Get ready for more gridlock along Portland Avenue.

This project started back in February. About 21,000 cars travel north of Memorial Road every day. They've been dealing with lane shifts, construction barrels and delays.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced left turn lanes will be added at Memorial Road and N.W. 164th coming from Portland Avenue. If you're on N.W. 150th, you'll also see a left turn lane to go in any direction of Portland, except to go north.

Left turns will be restricted from northbound Portland to westbound 150th during the rush hour. That's 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This section of the project is slated to finish in February or March. It's part of a much bigger plan to make Portland a 4-lane highway between Memorial and Waterloo.
