A toddler showed up to an El Reno hospital in critical condition on Wednesday and now police are questioning people they believe may be involved.

According to El Reno Police, the parents say they took their 2-year-old daughter to a babysitter. Later, the sitter called 911 and said the toddler was unresponsive.

The baby was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to OU Medical Center in OKC. Detectives say they noticed red markings on the baby’s head, and doctors believe the baby may have been shaken.

Doctors say the child’s injuries are internal and life threatening. The toddler remains in the hospital in critical condition.

So far, no one has been arrested. The case remains under investigation.
