NW OKC House Damaged In Fire

OKLAHOMA CITY -

A house in northwest Oklahoma City, was damaged after it caught fire Tuesday night. 

The fire was reported shortly after 9:10 p.m. in the 4200 block of N.W. 55th Street.  A fire department spokesman said heavy smoke was visible from the exterior. 

The fire started in a bedroom near the front of the house. The fire was contained in the one room but the entire house sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters were able to put the main body of the fire out quickly. No one was found inside the structure. 

The damage is estimated at $70,000 for structure and contents combined, according to the fire department. A cause is under investigation.
