The Oklahoma City Thunder and Whataburger have partnered to help fight hunger in Oklahoma during this holiday season through two events taking place this month.

MONDAY, NOV. 16: OH! WHATANIGHT FUNDRAISER

On Monday, Nov. 16, fans throughout central Oklahoma are encouraged to take part in “Oh! Whata Night,” a citywide fundraiser at Whataburger restaurants to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. From 5 to 8 p.m., Oklahoma City metro locations will donate 20 percent of sales to the Food Bank.

That same night, one Whataburger restaurant will kick off this season’s efforts to fight hunger with Thunder entertainers and activities. From 5 to 8 p.m., fans can visit the OG&E ThunderBolt at the Whataburger at 13229 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Oklahoma City. Rumble the Bison and the Thunder Girls will make appearances during the evening. Whataburger will provide prizes, and the Regional Food Bank will be on hand to share additional information on their mission to fight hunger in central and western Oklahoma.

SUNDAY, NOV. 22: THUNDER CARES FOOD DRIVE, PRESENTED BY WHATABURGER

The Thunder will hold its annual Thunder Cares Food Drive, presented by Whataburger, at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday, Nov. 22. Fans attending the Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks game that evening are asked to make a donation to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. While supplies last, all fans who donate will receive a coupon for free Whataburger. For every $5 donated, fans will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Thunder team-autographed basketball or free Whataburger for a year.

Outside Section 103, the Thunder Cares Foundation will hold an auction featuring Thunder-autographed items and other signed sports memorabilia. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Donations for the Food Bank will be accepted inside every entrance to Chesapeake Energy Arena, as well as at raffle tables outside Sections 103 and 308.

The food drive is part of the eighth annual Thunder Holiday Assist, which is presented by Cox Communications.

“The Thunder has partnered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma many times throughout the years, and our fans have always given strong support to helping in the fight against hunger for our neighbors in need,” said Thunder Vice President of Community Relations Christine Berney. “We are proud to have Whataburger as part of these efforts for a second year, and we hope our fans continue to step up to assist in this important cause.”

“As a company that serves food daily, hunger prevention and awareness is very near and dear to us,” said Whataburger Director of Operations Scott Phillips. “Through our customers' loyal support, we’re happy to partner with an amazing organization like the Thunder to do what we can to fight hunger in our community."
