Temperatures slowly cool into the upper 40s overnight under mostly clear skies. The south wind will stay up around 10 to 15 mph.

The south wind will pick up even more Tuesday afternoon. We will see gusts between 15 to 25 mph. Under a mix of sun and clouds temperatures will climb to the low 70s.

A storm system out west will move east across the central plains over the next couple of days. This system will bring rain and storm chances to eastern Oklahoma on Wednesday. Chances for the metro look low. Wind will be our main concern. Winds will gusts between 45 to 60 mph in central and northwest Oklahoma behind a cold front. This will lead to extreme fire danger.
