OKC Police Identify Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Wife
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police have identified a man accused of shooting and killing his wife Sunday evening.
According to police, just before 6 p.m., officers and Oklahoma County deputies responded to the report of a shooting at a home in the 6100 block of Lillian Lane. The suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Humberto Diaz, called police to report that he had shot his wife, 26-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Diaz-Martinez.
When law enforcement officers arrived, they found Diaz-Martinez dead inside of the home. Police said Diaz-Martinez appeared to have been shot to death.
Diaz was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first-degree murder, in connection to his wife’s death.
Neighbors told police that shortly before the shooting, the two were on the roof of the house arguing.
Diaz-Martinez’s death is Oklahoma City’s 78th homicide of 2015, according to police.
