Linwood Neighbors In Shock Over Double Homicide

Shock remains in Linwood after two people are found shot to death in the backyard of a home. Police are calling it a murder- suicide.

People in the neighborhood heard the gunshots ring out around 8 a.m. on Tuesday. When police arrived they found a man and woman in the backyard on a home in the 3100 block of NW 21^st St.

Detectives say it appears the woman shot the man, then took her own life.

“I’m shocked,” said neighbor Boyd Roby.

Neighbors tell News 9 the victim had gotten divorced a couple years ago and lived alone.

“Always out in the street when you saw him, happy, friendly, smiling,” said Roby. “Good guy, good neighbor.”

Police have not released the names of the two people involved or their relation to each other.
