A search warrant revealed that handwritten notes are among items found in the belongings of a woman, who is accused of crashing her vehicle into a crowd of people at the OSU Homecoming Parade.

Adacia Chambers, 25, was arrested on October 24, after police said she crashed her vehicle into a crowd during the OSU Homecoming Parade, killing four people and injuring at least 46 others. She is being held on four counts of second-degree murder.

According to a search warrant released on Tuesday, officers searched Chambers’ belongings on the day of the incident, and found a handwritten letter, three handwritten notes inside Chambers’ bible. They also found a laptop, a hard drive, a Window Surface tablet, and an Xbox One controller and power cord.

The document did not specify what the letter and notes said. But police did say they are still collecting evidence. They are specifically looking for personal writings such as suicide notes, writings about the 2015 OSU Homecoming parade events, prescribed medications for Chambers, electronic devices which could hold personal writings to include suicide notes, or items depicting residency.

Court documents states that Chambers drove directly into a police vehicle blocking traffic for the parade, and then a large crowd of people. Just before the crash, Chambers was heard saying she was “going home forever,” according to court documents.

Chambers’ boyfriend told authorities that Chambers had been treated in the past by a mental health professional after making a suicide threat. He said Chambers had been home until she left for work at about 8:30 a.m. on the day of the incident.

Following the crash, Chambers was arrested for driving under the influence. Police said Chambers appeared to be under the influence of a prescription medication.

Chambers’ coworker also told police that before the crash, Chambers appeared to be in a “daze.”
