A Shawnee family has adopted a miniature horse that was rescued after being found on the loose in downtown Oklahoma City.

A Shawnee family has adopted a miniature horse that was rescued after being found on the loose in downtown Oklahoma City.

According to the OKC Animal Welfare, the pony, now named “Roy,” was up for available for adoption at 12 p.m. at 2811 S.E. 29th Street. The adoption fee is $300.

In the early morning hours of Friday, October 23, multiple law enforcement agencies teamed up to capture Roy, who was running loose in downtown Oklahoma City. The pony managed to cross a few roads without getting hit by any cars.  

It took the help of the Stockyards Cowboys to eventually get it to safety.
