OKC Police Investigate Murder-Suicide After 2 Found Dead In Backyard
OKLAHOMA CITY - Police are investigating a murder-suicide, after two people were found shot to death Tuesday morning in a backyard in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to police, at about 8 a.m., officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 3100 block of N.W. 21st Street. When they arrived, they found the bodies of a man and a woman in a backyard.
“When officers were going a through trying to figure out where the shots were coming from, they were waved down by someone and led to the back where the two bodies were,” MSgt. Gary Knight said.
One person spoke with News 9 and said they heard multiple gunshots.
“I heard three or four shots, and it stopped a little bit, and then three or four more,” Moses Velasco said.
Police said it appears to be a murder-suicide. The man is the victim, and the woman is the suspect.
Police only identified the male victim at this time. His name has not been released pending notification of family members.
