OKC Police: Runaway Girls Found, Are Safe

Two Oklahoma City girls who ran away from their homes over the weekend have been found by Oklahoma City police.

The families of 12-year-old Lillian Geraci and 13-year-old Cecilia Isaac say the girls were found in an alley in the 2100 block of NW 39 Street in a homeless camp.

Friends and family spent both Sunday and Monday frantically searching for them.

They launched a search both on the ground and online, hoping to get them home safe and sound.

“I mean, we are really at a loss on what to do, where to look and where to go right now from where we are at currently," said Jeremija Sanders, Lillian's dad.

News 9 found him, his wife and a friend hanging up signs and searching these hotels near I-40 and MacArthur for any sign of his daughter and her friend. They say they got a tip the two had been spotted here.

“I've got no words for my gratitude towards everybody,” Sanders said.

Lilian's family also took to social media to try to find the girls, even creating a Facebook page called "Bring Lillian and Cecilia Home."

“I've had just on my personal page over 500 posts,” said Morgan Sanders, Lillian’s stepmother. "It’s been all over. I've had everybody sharing it to make sure to get the word out!”

The police report states the two voluntarily ran away and that a friend heard them make plans to do so this weekend.

Lillian, or Lily as she is called, was spending the night at Cecilia's, who also goes by the nickname CeCe.

The two left Cecilia's home in the 1800 block of N. Brauer early Sunday while Cecilia's mother was asleep inside.

The police report stated the mother found her purse dumped outside the nearby Epworth United Methodist Church, and all the cash was gone. The police report stated the girls did not take a cell phone but did take Cecilia's pit bull puppy with them.
