An Edmond man, who has volunteered to do a thankless job at Edmond Memorial football games for nearly a decade, says he wouldn't have it any other way.

Jamie Stephenson celebrated his 58th birthday Friday night by shagging footballs for Bulldog placekickers before and during Edmond Memorial's home game against Jenks.

Stephenson started helping out nine years ago and has only missed one game in those nine years.

“I’ve had a few people wonder ‘Just what the heck is he doing running around with a bunch of high school kids’,” said Stephenson.

Stephenson just also happens to be a Senior Vice President for BancFirst.
