A suspect accused of shooting two men near Hinton, killing one of them, surrendered to investigators late Thursday.

The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Valentin Monuz Gonzalez, also known as Martin Gonzalez, and Heraldo Garcia turned himself in following the release of information that an arrest warrant had been issued in his name.

Gonzalez is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Tomas Contreas, and injuring 30-year-old Luis Armando Granillo Morales last Saturday.

Gonzales had been missing since the shooting.
