The Oklahoma City Thunder’s big home opener is Wednesday night. There is a lot of excitement surrounding this season and for the Chesapeake Energy Arena, one exciting change this year is the food and all the new menu options.

The arena showcased some of its new food highlights on Tuesday, starting with the new Budweiser Brew House, formerly the Center Court Grill.

At the Budweiser Brew House, you can find coconut shrimp, beer-battered fish and chips and the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. The crowd favorite was the beer cheese dip, and the gourmet macaroni and cheese.

The Red River Bistro and Angie's Bakery on the first level has perfected a waffle and chicken dish that you can eat like a taco.

The executive chef recommended the Cuban Sandwich and the giant cinnamon roll at that location.

On the second level, the Tri-State Reserve is where you can find the six-slider family trio, the PB & J sandwich which actually stands for pork, beef and jalepeno, and the Thunderstorm Dog.

The Thunderstorm Dog is a foot-long hot dog wrapped in bacon with coleslaw and BBQ aioli. It took top honors at that pit stop.

“When you come to the arena, you want more than just a basketball game. You want great food, great drinks,” said Executive Chef Ryan Craig.

You will also find gluten-free options this year and a big push on local products, from romaine lettuce to pork.

“We want to make sure we can serve every single person that comes to the arena,” Craig told News 9.

The line-up is almost as exciting as the Thunder roster and it was developed from fan input.
