Officials at Oklahoma State University made the call to hold the Homecoming game while honoring those killed and injured. The announcement was made at a news conference following Saturday morning's deadly crash during the Homecoming Parade in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis said they considered canceling the game but want it to go on.

"We're gonna play and we're going to remember the victims at the game. We're going to move forward," Hargis said.

Coach Mike Gundy led the Oklahoma State Cowboy football players in a moment of silence after walking onto the field.

Three people are dead after a car crashed into the crowds at the parade. Authorities say 22 other people are injured, eight critically. It happened at a crowded intersection at 10:31 a.m.

Officials revealed that 25-year-old Adacia Chambers was arrested for driving under the influence after barreling into Homecoming parade crowds near the stadium. It happened at the intersection of Hall of Fame and Main, in the heart of the OSU campus.

Chambers is identified as a Stillwater resident who is not a student. She was not participating in the parade. Her Facebook page indicates she is originally from Oologah.

Police say she was southbound on Main Street when she crashed into the crowds on Hall of Fame.

The intersection at Main and Hall of Fame was to be closed for several hours as the incident is investigated. People driving from Tulsa were advised to take Highway 177 instead of the Perkins Road exit.

Oklahoma State University is no stranger to tragedy. Ten members of the OSU basketball program were killed in a plane crash in January, 2001. The OSU women's basketball coach and assistant were killed in a plane crash in November, 2011.
