OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are now investigating a homicide, after one of the two men shot at an apartment in southwest Oklahoma City died from his injuries Monday morning.

According to police, just after 6 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at Southridge Manor Apartments, located in the 1100 block of S.W. 60th in Oklahoma City.

Police said two men were asleep in their apartment when a male suspect got inside and shot both of them. The suspect then fled the scene. Both victims were shot multiple times and transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police later confirmed that one of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It is unclear at this time how the suspect got into the victims' apartment. No arrests have been made, and police have not released a suspect description.

This is Oklahoma City's 69th homicide of 2015, according to police.
