OKC Police Identify Man Who Died During Scuffle With Two Others

Oklahoma City police have identified a man who died while he was involved in a scuffle with two others Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 10 a.m. at 3709 N.W. 39th. Investigators determined that 46-year-old Charles Buchanan died while involved in a scuffle with two other people, 27-year-old Michael Bergeron and 51-year-old Sarah Buchanan.

According to police, during the fracas, Bergeron was attacked and injured by Sarah Buchanan. Bergeron was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries.  He is expected to survive.

Sarah Buchanan was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released to officers who transported her to the Homicide Unit. She was interviewed and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of assault with a deadly weapon for the attack on Bergeron.

At this time, police said there have been no arrests regarding the death of Charles Buchanan.  The State Medical Examiner’s office will determine his cause and manner of death.
