4.5-Magnitude Earthquake Reported Near Cushing

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon in Payne County, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon in Payne County, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The earthquake happened about 5:03 p.m. Its epicenter was reported about three miles west, northwest of Cushing, 14 miles east, southeast of Stillwater, 34 miles east, northeast of Guthrie and 53 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was more than three miles deep.

Three more earthquakes were reported near Cushing shortly afterward.

A 3.2-magnitude earthquake was reported about 5:07 p.m. Its epicenter was located two miles west, northwest Cushing, 16 miles east, southeast of Stillwater, 35 miles east, northeast Guthrie and 53 northeast of Oklahoma City.

It was more than two miles deep.

A 3.0-magnitude was reported about 5:20 p.m. Its epicenter was located about one mile west, northwest Cushing, 16 east, southeast of Stillwater, 35 miles east, northeast Guthrie and 53 northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was more than one mile deep.

A 3.1-magnitude was reported 6:43 p.m. Its epicenter was located about four miles west of Cushing, 15 miles southeast of Stillwater, 34 miles east, northeast of Guthrie, 52 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was about four miles deep.

No immediate reports of injuries or damage were reported in any of the earthquakes.
