Many residents felt a significant jolt early Saturday morning, after a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Medford.
The earthquake struck at approximately 4:20 a.m. Its epicenter was located 11 miles near Medford, 21 miles north of Enid, and 45 miles west of Ponca City.
It was almost four miles deep.
Then, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck. Its epicenter was located in the same area, being 13 miles southwest of Medford, 19 miles north of Enid, and 46 miles west of Ponca City.
It was about two and a half miles deep.
So far, no one has reported any injuries or damages.
