A sergeant with the University of Oklahoma Police turned himself in for burglary charges Friday.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old William T. Huff is charged with burglary and unlawful use of a computer, which stems from an incident in early September.

Huff reportedly broke into a vehicle and took a cellphone. The victim says she knows Huff, and claims he was trying to send a video of her to his own phone.

Investigators at the scene recovered evidence that showed Huff was following the victim. They also discovered a magazine for a Glock pistol.

Huff was charged September 18, in Cleveland County Court.

A representative for OU says Huff has been on leave with pay since September 6, and that will remain until the completed investigation. At that time, The University of Oklahoma Police Department will review and take the appropriate steps to determine policy and procedure violations.

Huff turned himself in Friday to be process at the Cleveland County Jail.
