Man Injured In Del City Shooting

A man is in the hospital after being shot early Friday morning in Del City.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Lazy Lane, near S.E. 44th and Bryant. If you're familiar with this area, it's less than half a mile west of Oakridge Elementary School.

Police got the call about several gunshots going off in the neighborhood. Once they arrived on scene, one man was found unresponsive in the front yard.

The man was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. 

Police do not have a good description of the suspect at this time. But officers spent the morning knocking on doors and asking people if they heard or saw anything.
