Scary moments for a mother of four who said she felt her life was threatened during a road rage incident in Moore.

Now, she and the man she said attacked her and her kids are talking.

Going too slow in a parking lot is apparently what sparked the confrontation.

Laura Whitthorne said her boyfriend was driving with her four children inside the car.

“Careless, reckless, and very dangerous person to be free,” Whitthorne said.

Wednesday evening, Whitthorne went to a store in Moore with her four children and her boyfriend.

“The guy pull in right behind us, parks two spots over from us, gets out of the car, is yelling at him, saying ‘learn how to drive,’” she said.

Then, Whitthorne said he went inside with her boyfriend. Several minutes later, he walked out flipping off her and her children.

“So I went to roll down the window, simply to say, ‘hey, I have kids in the car,’ and all that came out of my mouth was ‘hey,’ my mouth was open and he spit in my face, all in my mouth,” Whitthorne said.

Whitthorne immediately got out and took pictures.

“And after I snap the pictures, he drove his car into me,” she said. “The whole passenger's side of the car hit my left side. I went up in the air and landed over here on this curb right behind us.”

“My number one thing is, I truly did not mean to hit or run into her,” Tyler Robbins said.

News 9 reached out to Robbins by phone who admits to spitting at and flipping off Whitthorne.

Robbins said he thought she may have had a weapon.

“I’d love to apologize to her,” Robbins said. “I feel horrible about this. I was freaked out.”

“Kids come piling out of the car, screaming 'you almost killed me mom, you almost killed my mom,'” Whitthorne said. “I’ve got a bruise on my left hip, I’ve got abrasions on my right wrist and left elbow.”

“I was trying to get out of the way and she was walking towards me,” Robbins said.

But Whitthorne believes she was intentionally hit.

“I think I need to see him in court,” she said.

Moore police say Robbins could face charges including assault with a deadly weapon.

He was cited Thursday morning for leaving the scene.
