POPS To Open New Location At Nichols Hills

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

POPS, the iconic route 66 destination in Arcadia, is opening a new location in Nichols Hills.

POPS in Nichols Hills Plaza will open late October, 2015. According to company officials, the family-friendly restaurant and soda shop will provide a nostalgic nod to an old school diner feel, but with a modern twist. This location will focus more on the restaurant side of things with some new and menu items as well as offering over 700 sodas and an enhanced vintage candy selection.

POPS at Nichols Hills Plaza is located at 6447 Avondale Dr. near Western Avenue and N.W. 63rd Street, which official said keeps the new location close to its Mother Road roots as Western Avenue used to be known as Beltline Route 66 from 1931 to 1947.

“We’re excited to bring the experience of the Route 66 location into the community so we can provide an even closer destination for Oklahoma families,” said Director of Operations, Marty Doepke.

POPS at Nichols Hills Plaza will focus on the restaurant and soda shop while serving hamburgers, chicken fried steaks, salads, shakes and more. It will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
