How to Rehab Your Old Slow Cooker

1 ugly slow cooker

Coarse grade sandpaper

Isopropyl alcohol

Painters tape

Chalkboard paint

Clean the exterior of your slow cooker the best you can with an SOS pad to remove any oil and debris.  Sand the exterior of the slow cooker to "rough up" the paint so the new paint can stick better. Rub the outside of your slow cooker with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining oil or debris from the cooker.

Tape off any spots you do not want to get paint. (i.e. handles, knob, top and bottom metal rims) Using a good polyester paint brush, apply the chalkboard paint. Cover the slow cooker completely and allow it to dry two hours before applying another coat. Continue till you get the desired look you are wanting. Allow the paint to dry 48 hours before you write on it with chalk!
