A wave of bold home break-ins right in the middle of the day, and it all happened within a matter of hours.

Now, homeowners across a section of northwest Oklahoma City are concerned, because the suspect is out on bond.

From NW 15 to NW 23 to Classen Boulevard and Independence Avenue, these were brazen burglaries, all of them in the middle of the day, and in many cases people were at home.

That's why several victims were able to give police very clear descriptions of who they say is 40-year-old Brandon Henley.

“And I saw something out of the corner of my eye and I looked over, and there was a guy that was heading towards the back yard and went into the gate,” neighbor Matthew Brown said.

And Brown thought maybe this man was a family member going into his neighbor's backyard.

So just to be sure, Brown gave his neighbor a call while he and his 3-year-old son were sitting in their dining room.

“He plops open the gate and just goes sneaking around over there,” Brown said.

He said Henley casually walked down the driveway passing by his window and disappeared for at least 10 minutes.

“And so I came back out front, saw the truck, wrote down the tag, texted my wife,” Brown said.

That’s when Brown approached Henley.

“And I said, ‘hey what are you doing there, and do you know Brent,’ the guy who owns the home, and he said, ‘yeah, I’m working on his,’ then he kind of mumbles something, and I’m like, 'I’m sorry, I didn’t catch that,' and then he kind of mumbled again and then ran off to his truck,” Brown said.

Henley is accused of stealing a .22 caliber handgun and a wedding band out of that home, and police say he was in the middle of a crime spree, breaking into several homes.

“This isn’t his first go around looking around here,” Brown said.

Brown fears he may have been a target too.

“And see how it’s out of track and everything. Somebody had fiddled around with that,” Brown said.

Henley's criminal past includes domestic abuse, assault and battery and burglary allegations.

Henley is out on bond.
