OK Co. Deputies, OSBI Investigate In-Custody Death

An in-custody death has been reported at the Oklahoma County jail, the Oklahoma County sheriff's office spokesman said.

An inmate was found unresponsive in their cell, Oklahoma County sheriff's office spokesman Mark Opgrande said.

Jail staff began CPR and called for paramedics. The inmate was taken to a hospital where the inmate was pronounced dead, Opgrande said.

The identity of the inmate has not been released. 

Oklahoma County deputies and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating the death, Opgrande said.
