A man drowned Saturday at Arcadia Lake, Edmond officials said.

Edmond first responders were called about 4 p.m. and were looking for a male who reportedly went underwater and never resurfaced, Edmond police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe said.

The man was swimming with friends near Edmond Park at Arcadia Lake when he jumped off a log and didn't resurface, Monroe said.

The dive team searched for about 50 minutes before finding the man.

Yoshikuza Kiriya, 19, was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
