OKC Police Arrest Suspect In Man's Shooting Death

Oklahoma City police have identified a suspect arrested in connection to the shooting death of a man Monday afternoon.

Oklahoma City police have identified a suspect arrested in connection to the shooting death of a man Monday afternoon.

According to police, at about 1 p.m. officers responded to the report of a shooting at a home in the 600 block of S.E. Grand Blvd. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 50-year-old Cameron Lee Cox, dead at the scene.

Police said Cox had been shot to death. Later in the afternoon, officers arrested 52-year-old Alan Eugene Strickland not far from the scene.

Investigators said Strickland walked up to the home and shot Cox. He then walked away from the scene. Strickland has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree murder complaint. A bond has not been set. 

Cox’s death is Oklahoma City’s 62nd homicide of 2015, according to police.
