Accident Prompts Lane Closures On EB I-44

An accident involving a tractor-trailer has two lanes and an on-ramp closed, authorities reported.

The accident happened on eastbound Interstate 44 near Classen Boulevard. A tractor-trailer lost control on a curve near the Classen Boulevard exit and drove off the roadway, troopers said.

The driver was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Two lanes and on ramp will be closed until wrecking crews are able to lift the tractor-trailer over the barrier wall, troopers said.

Troopers ask motorists to avoid the area, if possible.
