We’re looking at another warm, breezy and dry evening across all of the OKC area. Temperatures will fall into the low 80s by 10 p.m. with overnight lows remaining pretty warm in the 70s under a south breeze.

There will be a small chance of a few thunderstorms across northwest Oklahoma.

Friday will be another windy and hot day across the majority of Oklahoma with our next cold front entering northern Oklahoma during the afternoon. Before the storms and front arrives we’ll see plenty of sunshine, south winds & heat with high temperatures in the 90s.

This front will produce numerous showers and thunderstorms during Friday afternoon and evening across northern and central Oklahoma. Some of these thunderstorms will be strong and possibly severe with damaging winds and hail being the biggest threats. So some of the Friday night football games could be delayed with the rain and lightning around.

Showers and thunderstorms continue moving south across the state Friday night with north winds ushering in some cooler air for the upcoming weekend. As we wake up on Saturday, you can expect plenty of clouds around with a north breeze.

Rain chances will diminish through the day and move south through the day with highs in the 70s to lower 80s. So both the OU and OSU game look dry and pretty nice with temperatures in the 70s.

Another wave of energy does head our way late Saturday night into Sunday with showers and thunderstorms. So expect the cooler weather to stick around on Sunday with the clouds and rain around with highs remaining in the 70s to low 80s.
