Norman police are investigating reports of a suspicious man who attempted to lure students into his van near a school.

Norman police are investigating reports of a suspicious man who attempted to lure students into his van near a school.

According to police, two middle school-aged girls reported that a man approached them at about 8:10 a.m. on the east side of Alcott Middle School, as they were walking to class in the area of Garrison Drive and Windsor Way. The man exhibited suspicious behavior, asking them inappropriate questions before eventually driving away.

According to Norman Public Schools, the man attempted to coax the students into his vehicle.

The suspect is described as a 40-year-old white male who stand about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a fit build, blonde hair and blue eyes. He was described as wearing a blue and white striped muscle shirt and khaki shorts at the time of the incident.

The vehicle is described as a light blue, 1990s model van with broken windows and multicolored curtains.
