OSBI Identifies Suspect In Gracemont Double Homicide

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has identified a man arrested in connection to the shooting deaths of two people in Gracemont, Oklahoma, Wednesday evening.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has identified a man arrested in connection to the shooting deaths of two people in Gracemont, Oklahoma, Wednesday evening.

The Caddo County Sheriff’s office requested OSBI assistance in a double homicide case that happened in Gracemont, Oklahoma. When investigative and crime scene agents arrived on the scene, they found two victims dead of apparent gunshot wounds lying on the ground outside of their home at 116 S. 2nd Street.

According to the OSBI, the victims’ neighbor, later identified as 37-year-old D’Veric Jessie, was questioned about the shooting and then arrested on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. He is currently in the Caddo Co. jail.

The female victim has been identified as 22-year-old Kayla Lynn Sue Martin. OSBI agents said her two young children were inside the home when the shooting occurred. They were not injured and are now in the care of family members.
